In lieu of previously scheduled, face-to-face meetings around the country designed to inform and educate electric utilities on Utility Grade Broadband, the Rural Digital Opportunity Fund (RDOF) and other important project considerations, FiberRise has launched the Broadband and Pizza Lunch and Learn remote event series.
The great thing about in-person events is the ability to interact with, ask questions of, and break bread with key industry experts. FiberRise was excited to have an opportunity to get out into rural communities and talk about all things broadband. The Coronavirus pandemic has put the brakes on those plans, but the RDOF application and auction deadlines are still on schedule as we noted in a previous update.
FiberRise put their heads together and came up with the Broadband and Pizza Lunch and Learn concept as the next best thing!
The event schedule kicked off on April 16th with the first remote event: Broadband as a Utility – Now More Than Ever!
The remainder of the series, including the next event tomorrow, looks like this:
- April 22nd: What You Should Know About Your Broadband Feasibility Study
- April 24th: Utility Grade Broadband – Follow the Power!
- April 29th: Business Models for Electric Utility Broadband – One Size Doesn’t Fit All!
- May 1st: Market Strategies for Utility Grade Broadband
- May 6th: Updates on RDOF – It’s a Big Deal!
Registrations are open for April 22 and April 24 events. To keep up to date and register for the remaining events, browse to the Broadband and Pizza - Lunch and Learn with FiberRise home page.
What do attendees need to do? Not much!
- Register for each event using the link(s) above
- Like pizza
- Listen and ask questions
Pretty much the same things as when you attend an in-person event!
We look forward to seeing you there and sharing a wealth of important information with electric utilities and other stakeholders.
